Our Latin America CEO, Daniela Manique, has been named an "Executivo de Valor" for the fourth consecutive year in Brazil's chemical and petrochemical sector.

Across 30+ locations in 20+ countries, something special happened.

Our colleagues connected with more than 2,500 students, sharing their passion for science and opening doors to new possibilities. For many, it was their first step into a world they had never experienced before.

What stayed with us were the moments that felt real. A question that lingered. A conversation that kept going and made an impact.

This was what Week was all about. People coming together and helping the next generation see what could be possible.

📸 Frans was already part of Solvay in 1988. Back then, he couldn’t have imagined that one day his dear colleague would be replaced by none other than his daughter.

At our Linne Herten site, Lisa first joined as an intern and has now been a Laboratory Analyst for four years. She’s building her own path, while learning from her father, a Quality Control Manager with decades of experience.

A beautiful Solvay story across generations that shows that what we pass on matters just as much as what we build. 🌱

🔬 Who said science is just for kids?

Every year, our incredible XperiLAB truck hits the road to bring hands-on STEM education directly to 10,000 students across Belgium. But recently, it was our own Executive Leadership Team and local HQ employees who rolled up their sleeves and took over the lab! 👋💼

From peering through microscopes to building solar circuits, our team got to experience the exact same interactive experiments that spark curiosity in thousands of 10-to-14-year-olds every year. It turns out, that spark of discovery never really goes away. No matter your age or job title! ✨

As part of our Week, this was the perfect reminder of why we do what we do: making science tangible, approachable, and inspiring for the next generation.

Did you spot our vibrant team shirts in the race? They have a fantastic story! They were crafted using Solvay’s very own Amni® polyamide yarn. 🌍✨

Designed to look great and perform under pressure, these smart shirts are as sustainable as they are comfortable, utilizing less water and energy during production to reduce their environmental impact. It’s just one example of how we integrate Essential Chemistry into daily life to protect our planet.

What does engineering actually look like in real life?

For Tristan Helmstaedt, it means balancing technical expertise with practical problem solving on industrial sites across Europe. From Germany to Spain, his journey at Solvay has included sustainability projects, operational challenges, and working directly alongside teams on the plant floor.

It’s also far from the stereotype many people imagine. Engineering isn’t only about equations or screens. It’s about understanding how things work in practice and constantly learning from the people around you.

Outside work, Tristan finds balance through sports, learning new skills, and producing electronic music, a reminder that STEM careers are shaped by people, not just processes.

One of many stories we’re sharing as we look ahead to For Generations Week, celebrating the people behind essential chemistry.
