Today Jeroen is our King 👑

3 Koningen (Three Kings), also called Epiphany, is a tradition celebrated in some European countries. It remembers the story of three wise men who visited baby Jesus and brought gifts.

In places where it’s celebrated, children may dress up as kings, sing songs, or share special food like a “king’s cake,” where one person is chosen as king for the day.

Even if you don’t celebrate it, it’s mainly about sharing, tradition, and a bit of fun. 👑😃👏🏻

After a successful initial meeting, POM Limburg organized a second session of the think tank 🌱 ‘Development of Biobased Material Chains’.

In preparation for this session, two working groups delved into specific themes:
‣‣ Biobased Chemistry with B4Plastics | , focusing on the scaling up of bioplastics.
‣‣ Biobased Hubs, aimed at developing biomass and material hubs.
Key points from the second meeting:

🌱 There is significant potential for both ‘biomass hubs’ to collect and preprocess biomass flows and ‘biomaterial hubs’ to process biomass into high-value applications.
🌱 Understanding the current supply and future needs regarding raw materials, logistics, storage, processing capacity, and market demand is essential.
🤝 New collaborations (e.g., cooperatives) are crucial to creating valuable chains.

With these insights, POM Limburg continues to advance the growth of the bioeconomy in Limburg.
