To handle concentrated 170 kN wheel loads from heavy 46-tonne forklifts, the initial structural design for a 31,000 m² heavy industrial facility specified a 300 mm thick slab with conventional dowelled joints.

However, a structural verification according to TR34 (4th Ed.) proved that by implementing the continuous 3D load transfer of Cosinus Slide®, the required slab depth could be safely optimized to 250 mm while maintaining a full 20% safety margin:
