As their internship journeys at Psicontrol are coming to an end, we'd like to recognize the contributions of Thomas Chochoy, Clément Tassin and Saakshi Jagtap. All three are master’s students 🧑‍🎓 in 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐬 & 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 from JUNIA (Engineering School) in Lille, France.

Over the past few months, they have been supporting our R&D team through 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬, while gaining 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬-𝐨𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 in an industrial environment. 🤝

We were also pleased that Saakshi chose to complete her second consecutive internship with Psicontrol. We feel this further strengthens the connection between industry and young engineering talent. 💪

We’re proud to announce that we recently opened a 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐥𝐚𝐛 🎊, marking another important investment in innovation, quality, and operational excellence.

The new test lab provides a 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐧, 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞-𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 in which multidisciplinary teams can collaborate more efficiently throughout the product development process. 🔗

The new setup also featured significant 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞, including additional test capacity, ergonomic workstations, optimized storage solutions, and upgraded facilities in order to help support future growth. ✅

Safety is becoming increasingly important in the design of electronic systems. 🛡️ And that explains why three of our colleagues recently successfully completed a specialized 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 course on the IEC 61508 standard.

This internationally recognized framework helps integrate 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐞, from design and development to operation, maintenance, and updates.

At Psicontrol, we are committed to supporting young talent by offering 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬-𝐨𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 in a real engineering environment. 🤝 That’s why we recently welcomed Michiel Ooghe and Thibo Terryn, two Electronics-ICT students from Hogeschool VIVES, to our team for an 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩.

They’re currently working on the 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬. ⚙️ This system enables simultaneous testing and provides clear and structured insights into performance and quality.

Throughout the project, the interns are involved in the 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬, from initial research and hardware design to firmware development and software integration. 💡

This experience not only strengthens their 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐞 but also allows them to develop 𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬, such as structured problem-solving and teamwork within a professional environment. 🤩

Eric Delhuielle, Director at Kuhlmann Europe (which is also part of Tessenderlo Group), recently joined us for an 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐤𝐞𝐲𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 in Ieper (Belgium) on how his company protects water for some of the largest cities in Western Europe. 💧

This interactive session offered several valuable insights and open dialogue with the Kuhlmann Europe management team. It highlighted the company’s 𝟐𝟎𝟎 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐞 in advanced chemical processes for the treatment of wastewater and the purification of drinking water. 🚰

This proved to be an inspiring reminder of how innovation, knowledge, and collaboration contribute to clean water in a sustainable way. 🌍
