Decoratelier and Damaged Goods are thrilled to present a new run of the performance in collaboration with . Together, the builders of Decoratelier and the cooks of Cassonade will continue digging through the histories beneath our soil.

Participants will work with a variety of people, tools and materials on three different collaborative projects:

𝗡𝗟 - Van begin augustus tot half september zoekt Decoratelier vrijwilligers om te helpen bij het bouwen, ontwerpen en inrichten van een aantal nieuwe ruimtes. Deelnemers werken samen met verschillende mensen, gereedschappen en materialen aan drie verschillende samenwerkingsprojecten:
• werken aan en opbouwen van de nieuwe ruimtes van
• bouwen van een binnenkort te openen nachtclub, bedacht door .eraeraeraera
• creëren van een fictieve ruimte voor de performance-cabaret , geïnitieerd door
• het bouwen van een klein theater als onderdeel van Schooltoneel voor

Decoratelier shares its site with a singular neighbour: the solidarity restaurant 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗲. Since last fall, builders and cooks have been working side by side. From 14 May on, they will guide you through the many layers of 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒓𝒔, Jozef Wouters’ new site-specific piece.

When both organisations had to move to a new space in Molenbeek, Decoratelier invited Cassonade to join the move. Decoratelier’s builders recreated a mirror image of the restaurant’s former interior – itself once a film set – reinforcing the fictional framework around its daily practice.

Now, the team of Cassonade take part in the slow, collective process of creating The Latecomers. They charge the work with their stories and proposals, shaping a narrative that constantly has to adapt to what is unearthed, season after season.

Meet artist in residence Barry Ahmad Talib and get a glimpse behind the scenes of the scenography for Decoratelier’s new performance ‘The Latecomers’.

You’ll also encounter the team behind Martha Canga Antonio’s HOLY, fine-tuning their scenography ahead of their show at on 4 June.
