Our Belgian offshore wind farms are a stunning sight — but they’re not safe zones for recreation.

At Norther, we kindly remind boaters and marine visitors to admire the turbines from a distance. These are active industrial sites with strict safety regulations.

⚠️ Entering the zone can be dangerous and may lead to fines.
⚠️ Let’s keep the sea safe for everyone.

At Norther, we support the safety awareness campaign initiated by the Belgian Offshore Platform . Our wind farms at sea are powerful symbols of the energy transition – but they are no place for recreational vessels, sailing, diving or fishing.

⚠️ Safety first – Offshore wind farms are industrial sites with high-voltage infrastructure. Unauthorized entry puts your life and others at serious risk.

⚠️ Disruption risk – Damage or interference can compromise energy production and cause multi-million-euro losses.

⚠️ Legal consequences – These zones are monitored 24/7. Trespassing can lead to administrative fines starting at €10,000.

At Norther, we are dedicated to ensuring the safety, reliability, and sustainability of our offshore operations 🌊

However please remember that:
➡ Sailing through the offshore wind farms is a no-go zone 🚫.
➡ Mandatory safety distances need to be respected.
