From May 15 to 17, 2024, the IX Symposium of Petroleum Laboratories in the region was successfully held in Pleven, Bulgaria.
The Symposium was attended by 70 participants from 28 laboratories from: Greece, Croatia, Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo and Bulgaria.
At the IX Symposium were presented 15 presentations from:

🇬🇧 The last 8-th Symposium of petroleum laboratories in the region was successfully organized by Jugoinspekt Belgrade, which has been held from May 15th to 17th 2019 in hotel Majestic in Belgrade, Serbia.
The VIII Symposium was discussing topics of: Flow Assurance of Crude Oil in Transport Pipelines; Chemical Fingerprinting of Different Oil Types in Oil Spill Identification; Improving reproducibility on ASTM D86 testing; Monitoring of in-use lubricating oil; Sampling and its impact of LPG quality; Sulphur: Issues, measuring technologies and the future; Derived cetane number – next step etc.
The main objective of the symposium is definitely networking and cooperation.
By sharing knowledge and experience, the participants contribute to a higher level of quality and service in the region and optimize the work in their laboratories. On the other hand, participants also gain technical knowledge since many speakers present up-to-date technical topics. In each host country participants get acquainted with the local infrastructure regarding metrology, accreditation, standardization and similar.
🇧🇬 Последният, 8-ми симпозиум на петролни лаборатории в региона, беше успешно организиран от Jugoinspekt Belgrade, който се проведе от 15 до 17 май 2019 г. в хотел Majestic в Белград, Сърбия.
На VIII Симпозиум бяха обсъждани следните теми: Осигуряване на дебита на суров нефт в транспортните тръбопроводи; Химически отпечатъци на различни видове нефт при идентифициране на нефтени разливи; Подобряване на възпроизводимостта при тестване ASTM D86; Мониторинг на използваното смазочно масло; Вземане на проби и влиянието им върху качеството на LPG; Сяра: Проблеми, технологии за измерване и бъдещето им; Изведено цетаново число – следваща стъпка и други.
Основната цел на симпозиума е взаимосвързаност и сътрудничество.
Чрез споделяне на знания и опит участниците допринасят за по-високо ниво на качество и обслужване в региона и оптимизират работата в своите лаборатории. От друга страна, участниците придобиват и технически познания, тъй като много лектори представят актуални технически теми. Във всяка страна домакин участниците се запознават с местната инфраструктура по отношение на метрологията, акредитацията, стандартизацията и други подобни.
