Building energy infrastructure also means investing in the communities where we live and work. 🌳

As part of its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, SUNOTEC supported the creation of a new public playground in Pazardzhik’s City Garden Park, offering children and families a safe, modern space to play, connect, and spend time together.

The 350 m² playground features equipment for different age groups, including parkour elements, a play tower, swings, and play structures made from natural, sustainable materials. The surrounding area has also been enhanced with new landscaping, seating areas, video surveillance, and free Wi-Fi.

Speaking at the official opening, Mayor Petar Kulenski highlighted the importance of collaboration between business and local government in creating long-term value for local communities, noting that the project reflects a shared commitment to improving everyday life for families in Pazardzhik.

At SUNOTEC, creating lasting impact means looking beyond the infrastructure itself and contributing to places where people can thrive.

Following the strategic partnership announced last year between SUNOTEC and GEN-I, d.o.o., our 50 MW / 126 MWh battery energy storage system in Byala Slatina, Bulgaria, has now entered live commercial operation under GEN-I’s advanced optimisation and commercial asset management.

The launch marks the first operational milestone of our five-year partnership, bringing together SUNOTEC’s expertise in developing and delivering large-scale battery storage infrastructure with GEN-I’s capabilities in energy trading, flexibility services and multi-market optimisation.

As an international system integrator of large-scale renewable energy infrastructure, our role extends beyond developing and constructing energy assets. Through partnerships like this, we ensure they continue to create value throughout their operational lifecycle.

When we announced this partnership last November, we spoke about combining engineering excellence with commercial optimisation. Today’s milestone brings that vision into operation.

Supporting biodiversity starts with understanding it.

As part of our collaboration with Pollenity, an environmental technology company that uses bees as natural biosensors to generate biodiversity insights, we have adopted 10 beehives at one of our co-location project sites in Bulgaria.
Beyond supporting local pollinator populations, these hives will become part of something much bigger.

Honeybees naturally collect pollen from the surrounding landscape. Through Pollenity's EcoPulse platform, this pollen is analysed, providing valuable insights into local biodiversity and helping us better understand the interaction between our PV plant and the surrounding ecosystem. The data enables us to monitor plant diversity, identify environmental changes and support a more science-based approach to biodiversity monitoring.

The partnership also contributes to protecting declining bee populations while bringing sustainability closer to our own teams through branded honey deliveries and future beekeeping workshops.

At SUNOTEC, sustainability is not only about reducing emissions. It is also about understanding, measuring and continuously improving our relationship with nature.

Five years ago, our Premium Dinner Event tradition began with the simple idea of creating a space where customers, partners and friends of SUNOTEC could step away from the Intersolar exhibition halls and connect on a more personal level.

This year, we celebrated our fifth Premium Dinner Event, our largest and most ambitious edition to date.

More than 250 guests joined us at the iconic BMW Welt for an evening dedicated to bringing the renewable energy industry together, with international cuisine inspired by the countries in which SUNOTEC operates and performances that turned networking into a shared experience. These evenings are about much more than a dinner. They reflect the relationships we have built over the years. The trust we have earned through every project delivered. And the international community that continues to grow around SUNOTEC.

This evening was made possible by the people behind SUNOTEC. Their commitment to excellence, their ability to deliver ever more complex projects, and their relentless pursuit to push limits have built this company, its reputation, and the network that made this evening possible.

To everyone who spent the evening with us: thank you for being part of this journey. Because in the end, the strongest energy systems are built the same way as lasting partnerships: by connecting the right people.

We look back on three days at Intersolar Europe that highlighted the next phase of the energy transition.

Over these three days, we have had the opportunity to meet with our partners and investors from around the world. As the renewable energy industry continues to evolve, so do we. The future requires more than individual technologies. It requires intelligently integrated systems that combine power generation, energy storage, grid infrastructure and lifecycle management into bankable energy solutions.

We are proud to be helping shape that transition through engineering expertise, industrial ex*****on and a growing international footprint.

More than 1,200 runners gathered in Plovdiv this past Saturday for Tepe Jamboree, one of the city's most vibrant community running events, celebrating sport, culture, and togetherness.

As a main sponsor for the second consecutive year, SUNOTEC was proud to support an initiative that brought together 200 participants in the children's race and more than 1,000 runners in the main race.

We are especially proud that our Headquarters team secured 6th place overall among the participating companies, a fantastic achievement that reflects the teamwork, determination, and perseverance we strive to bring to everything we do.

Events like these are about more than crossing the finish line. They create opportunities for people to come together, challenge themselves, and strengthen the sense of community that makes such initiatives possible. A big thank you to the organisers, volunteers, and all participants for making this year's event such a success.
