Illuminating Royalty: Octa Light Lights Up Lusail Palace

In 2020, Octa Light proudly delivered more than 17,000 high-efficiency LED DALI dimmable luminaires for the landscape illumination of Lusail Palace in Qatar — one of the most prestigious architectural landmarks in the country.

Lusail Palace is located in Lusail City, the third-largest city in Qatar, north of Doha. It serves as a key site for the Qatari royal family and the Amiri Diwan, functioning not only as a luxurious private residence but also as a venue for receiving dignitaries, ambassadors, and guests from around the world.

The palace reflects Qatar’s contemporary approach to combining tradition with modern luxury.

The Lusail Palaces complex spans several palatial properties and is distinguished by classical and French-inspired design, blending ornate neoclassical elements with modern functionality.

The palaces are designed with multiple levels, including ground floors for public functions and upper floors for private living quarters, emphasizing both luxury and practicality.

This large-scale project was successfully executed in close partnership with CREDO Trading W.L.L., our trusted collaborator in Qatar.

The luminaires were carefully selected for their exceptional energy efficiency, superior light quality, and full DALI dimming capability, allowing precise and flexible control of lighting scenes across the palace grounds. Designed for outdoor landscape applications, they deliver reliable performance while supporting the elegant and sophisticated atmosphere required by a site of such national importance.

Proud to light up Pazardzhik with smart, energy-saving innovation!

In 2020, Octa Light successfully delivered high-efficiency LED DALI dimmable luminaires from our EXTREME Flat series as part of the major public tender for reconstruction, modernization, and intelligent management of street and park lighting across the entire city of Pazardzhik, Bulgaria.

This ambitious project replaced outdated sodium lamps with modern LED technology, introduced a full smart control and monitoring system, and integrated renewable energy sources. The goal: significant energy savings, lower maintenance costs, improved safety, and a greener urban environment for residents.

Our EXTREME Flat series luminaires were selected for fully meeting (and exceeding) the strict technical requirements:

- Ultra-high efficiency up to 170 lm/W — delivering powerful, uniform light while dramatically cutting electricity consumption.
- Full DALI dimming capability for seamless integration with the intelligent management system — enabling remote control, scheduling, real-time monitoring, and automatic optimization.
- Robust industrial-grade design: IP67 protection, IK10 impact resistance, operating temperature -40°C to +50°C, and a minimum lifespan of 100,000 hours.
- Excellent light quality: high CRI (>80), neutral color temperature 4000, zero upward light spill, and precise optics tailored for streets and parks.
- Compliance with BDS EN 13201:2016, CE, ENEC, and all other mandatory standards — ensuring safe, reliable performance and maximum energy savings.

By modernizing the city’s lighting infrastructure with these advanced, smart-ready luminaires, the project supports Pazardzhik’s vision for a more sustainable, cost-effective, and citizen-friendly public space — reducing energy use, enhancing visibility and safety, and contributing to long-term environmental goals.

Exciting milestone from 2020: Octa Light powers up Nestlé Bulgaria’s cutting-edge production!
We’re proud to have delivered 300 high-efficiency, DALI-dimmable LED luminaires from our PROFFIT Series for the complete modernization of Nestlé Bulgaria’s new robotic production line at their Sofia factory.
As part of Nestlé’s major 23 million BGN investment in upgrading the facility — despite the challenges of the pandemic — this state-of-the-art line now produces an impressive 2.5 million KitKat bars every single day (that’s 1,736 bars per minute!). The project also included advanced automation, digital connectivity for remote monitoring, and a strong focus on employee safety and sustainability.
Our PROFFIT Series industrial luminaires were the perfect fit for the production harsh tempeture environment (up to 70 degrees Celsius): delivering exceptional energy efficiency (up to 170 lm/W), outstanding light quality, and full DALI dimming capability. This smart control integrates seamlessly with Nestlé’s digital network, allowing precise lighting adjustments, energy optimization, and reliable performance across the high-speed production halls.
The result? Brighter, safer, and more efficient working conditions for the factory’s 571 dedicated employees, reduced energy consumption, and support for Nestlé’s long-term sustainability goals — including lower material waste and a modern, future-ready production environment.

Lighting Qatar’s VIP Gateway with Precision & Prestige

We are proud to announce the successful delivery in 2021 of over 3,340 high-efficiency, DALI-dimmable LED luminaires, both for indoor and outdoor illumination of the Emiri V.V.I.P Terminal at Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar.

This highly exclusive terminal — designed in the shape of a stylized lotus flower — serves as a dedicated facility for heads of state, the Qatari royal family, and visiting dignitaries. It functions not only as an arrival and departure point but also as a prestigious state venue for high-level diplomatic meetings and ceremonial events.

The project was executed in close collaboration with our trusted partner, Trading Lab WLL, whose expertise and local support were instrumental in delivering this landmark installation.
