Hydrogenera’s European expansion is translating into measurable commercial results.

In the first half of 2026, more than 85% of our revenue came from customers across the European Union. This marks a significant shift from earlier reporting periods, when more than 95% of sales were generated in Bulgaria.

International growth was matched by strong commercial and technical progress:
• Sales of our metal-hydride hydrogen storage systems grew by 230% compared with sales during the whole of 2025.
• We completed the integration and successful testing of a hydrogen system at Volkswagen Poznań in Poland, on schedule.
• We deployed a fully automated hydrogen production system at a thermal power plant, achieving hydrogen purity of 99.9999%.
• We signed a strategic collaboration agreement with Stargate Hydrogen to pursue industrial hydrogen projects across Europe.

Together, these milestones show what international expansion looks like in practice: proprietary technology, proven industrial deployment and a growing European customer base.

През първото полугодие на 2026 г. компанията постигна няколко ключови резултати, които отразяват последователното изпълнение на стратегията ѝ за международно развитие:

Green hydrogen is sold as a route to energy independence. But if the electrolyser making it was built outside the EU, how independent is that hydrogen really?

Europe is scaling its hydrogen economy fast, and billions are flowing into renewable hydrogen projects across the continent. Yet much of the core technology, the electrolyser stacks at the heart of every system, still comes from outside the EU.

Swap imported gas for imported electrolysers, and you have changed the dependency, not removed it.

Policy is starting to catch up. EU hydrogen funding now carries resilience criteria on electrolyser sourcing, designed to reduce the bloc's reliance on imported stacks. Energy security and industrial security are being treated as one problem, because they are.

This is the real case for European hydrogen technology. Hydrogenera's systems use European design and manufacturing, with no reliance on non-EU sources for stacks or core system components. For an industrial site or a national project, the technology behind the transition is then as secure as the hydrogen it produces.

Some industrial sites are not waiting for green hydrogen to get cheaper.

They are already recovering the cost through the impact hydrogen has on their process.

When hydrogen is injected into an existing industrial burner, the combustion improves.

+ The flame is more stable, the heat transfer is more efficient, and the fuel consumption is lower.
+ The site uses less gas to achieve the same output.

That efficiency gain is where the economics sit.

Not in the price of hydrogen against the price of gas, but in the savings generated by burning less of it.

A 1.5 MW burner process running 27% more efficiently does not need hydrogen to be cheap. It needs the efficiency savings to outweigh the cost of producing hydrogen on-site. In the right application, it does.

This is why combustion enhancement is where industrial hydrogen adoption is moving fastest. The return is immediate and measurable, and does not depend on subsidies, carbon pricing, or a future cost curve.

Hydrogenera and Stargate Hydrogen have signed a framework cooperation agreement to join forces on selected industrial hydrogen projects across Europe.

The cooperation brings together two European hydrogen technology companies with complementary strengths.
Hydrogenera contributes expertise in alkaline electrolysis, electrolyser manufacturing capabilities, system engineering, integration, balance-of-plant design, and industrial project delivery.

Stargate Hydrogen contributes alkaline electrolyser stack technology and electrolysis know-how for selected project opportunities.

Industrial hydrogen projects are becoming more technically demanding. Customers require complex systems that can be engineered, integrated, operated, and supported in real industrial conditions.

This agreement establishes a framework for project-based cooperation in which electrolysis expertise, stack technology, system engineering, and project delivery can work together from the outset.

It is a practical step towards stronger European cooperation in hydrogen and the wider deployment of green hydrogen in industry.

Hydrogenera will supply metal hydride alloy for an Italian hydrogen fuel-cell project developed by NE.ME.SYS S.r.l.

The MIH-FC project, “Multipurpose Innovative Hydrogen Fuel-Cell”, is co-financed under Italy’s PNRR programme, within the national investment in hydrogen research, development, and the energy transition.

Hydrogenera’s metal hydride alloy will be used in a system designed to integrate fuel-cell technology with solid-state hydrogen storage.

Metal hydrides offer a practical route for storing hydrogen at lower pressures, with controlled release and compact integration. These qualities are especially relevant for applications where safety, space efficiency, and stable hydrogen delivery are important.

This collaboration also reflects a wider market need.

Hydrogenera is powering German industry with a 2-MW green hydrogen project.

Through Hydro Future GmbH, our German integration partner, we have signed a contract with LE Power GmbH to deliver a full-scale hydrogen production system built on our Z-series alkaline electrolyser platform.

The system will be manufactured in Bulgaria and installed and commissioned in Ukraine, producing hydrogen at 99.999 per cent purity for direct supply to industrial offtakers in Germany.

The project is financed by a German government grant. This is not a pilot. It is a contracted, funded infrastructure supporting decarbonisation across German manufacturing and heavy industry.

Our scope covers the full system: stacks and balance of plant, power and electrical systems, factory and site acceptance tests, commissioning, and initial service support.

On-site engineering, procurement and construction will be coordinated by the project integrator and local partners.

Commissioning is scheduled for June 2027.

Cross-border hydrogen value chains are becoming real. This project connects Bulgarian manufacturing, Ukrainian infrastructure and German industrial demand into a single, structured supply chain.

Hydrogenera разширява европейското си портфолио с 2 MW проект, подкрепен с грантово финансиране от гер

Hydrogenera ще проектира, произведе и достави водородна система с мощност 2 MW за производство на зелен водород, предназначен за индустриалните потребители в Германия.

Проектът се финансира с грант от германското правителство, което утвърждава компанията като надежден партньор в развитието на стратегическа водородна инфраструктура в Европа.

В сътрудничество с Hydro Future GmbH и LE Power GmbH, Hydrogenera ще достави и интегрира водородна система от серията Z, проектирана да произвежда водород с чистота 99.999%, с планирано въвеждане в експлоатация през юни 2027 г.

Този проект е още едно доказателство, че трансграничните доставки на водород вече работят на практика – свързвайки производство, инфраструктура и индустриално потребление в Европа.
