𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗼𝗼𝗿𝘀

When a church does not have a building, it is greatly limited in ministry. You will reap security for your life if you provide security for the church. When our church used to meet in a canteen, we had no end of harassment from the authorities. Sometimes, immediately after the service, I would receive a letter saying, "You are to meet the authorities of the Ghana Medical School on Monday morning at eight a.m. prompt." Once, we arrived at church and the security officer decided to lock the doors and keep us out of the building. We had to have our church service outside the canteen. We were at the mercy of wicked and unreasonable people. When you provide God's church with security, stability and safety, God will become your refuge.
God will build a house for you and give you security. Those who participate in building the temple of God are blessed. I am always grateful for the people that God gave me to help build our church. We would probably have disappeared into obscurity by now if we didn't have our church building. By now, we would have been hidden away in a classroom somewhere. I have watched people give their lives' savings and their entire salaries to the work of God. I have also lived to see God blessing each and every one of them. Today, some people would only give a few coins towards a church project. They don't know what they are missing. Those who have helped prolong the church's life will have their own lives prolonged. Those who cause a church to be wealthy will reap wealth in their lives.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿

I remember the story of a man who went into a store to buy some brains. There were four different brains on sale. The salesperson was on hand to help the customer. The customer said, “I would like to buy the best brains you have.” The salesperson showed the customer what he had in store.
He said, “These are the brains from a nation that invented airplanes, rockets, and satellites.
He continued, “These next ones are from a nation that invented televisions, videos, telephones, radios and stereo systems.”
He went on, “This third set of brains comes from a nation that has developed beautiful cities, roads, bridges, trains, airports, tunnels, etc."
He then showed the fourth set of brains. He continued, “This last set of brains are from a nation which has invented nothing and built nothing for itself. This nation even has foreigners coming from outside to build roads and toilets.
“I see,” he said, “How much are they anyway?”
The salesman replied, “The first three brains are affordable, but the fourth set of brains is very expensive.”
“Why is that? Why should they be so expensive when they have not been used to accomplish anything?”
“Oh, that is simple,” the salesman replied, “Those brains are fresh, unused and full of potential. Because they have not been used for anything, all the potential is still within.”
This unfortunate story tells us how important it is to use the brains God has given us. No matter how spiritual you are, God still expects us to use our brains. A great leader is someone who contemplates, reflects, ponders and deliberates over issues. Thinking is not a non-spiritual activity. It is a God-given privilege to have the large brains we have. Did you know that human beings have the largest and most developed brains of all creation? Think about the size of a bird’s head. How small their brains must be. Are you not glad that God has given you something bigger? Every great leader uses this gift - his brains!

A leader must think about other leaders in such a way as to learn something from them. Unfortunately, people stand by their mentors and never learn much about them because they never think deeply enough about the person they are working with. If they were to think a little about him, they would learn many valuable lessons from the Holy Spirit. There are questions you must ask! There are things that must occur to you!”
