At the 2025 CNPC “Belt and Road” Overseas Employee Skills Competition, the WAPCO Benin team delivered an outstanding performance and won the Excellent Organization Award.
Beninese employee Constantin impressed with his superb skills, earning the Bronze Medal in Cathodic Protection Testing, showcasing the professionalism of West African energy builders on the international stage.
Looking ahead, WAPCO will continue to strengthen local talent development and contribute to the sustainable growth of West Africa’s energy sector.

On October 21, WAPCO Benin organized a public welfare event in Benin under the theme “Protect Sea Turtles, Safeguard the Ocean.”
The activity focused on raising awareness of marine ecological protection, encouraging project employees to care for the ocean, and showcasing WAPCO’s strong commitment to sustainable and green development through real, meaningful actions.

🇨🇳🤝🇧🇯 Across Borders, Writing a Chapter of Growth
🎓 The first batch of Beninese students on the “Belt and Road” Special Scholarship have returned home, meeting face-to-face with Chinese and Beninese officials and leaders of WAPCO to review achievements and discuss the future.
🔧 Covering petroleum, mechanical, and computer engineering, they have studied diligently in China over the past year, becoming a bridge for China–Benin friendship.
🚀 In 2025, a new group of 10 students will head to China to start their journey.
Homecoming is not the end — it’s the start of a greater journey
