Yesterday we celebrated a very special milestone: the 10th anniversary of our Global Shared Services (GBS) office in Košice, Slovakia.

Created in 2015 as a centralized service unit, the GBS has evolved into a deeply integrated partner for our operations, supporting 17 factories and 4 sales offices across 9 countries, in the escopes of HR, IT, Treasury, Finance, and Purchasing. Throughout this decade, GBS has played a central role in optimizing resources, strengthening our processes, enabling efficiency, and delivering reliable, high-quality services to our global organization.

During the anniversary celebration event, we were proud to also honor our team members who have been part of this journey from the very start, shaping GBS into what it is today.

Our gratitude goes to everyone who has been part of this journey. Cheers to a decade of achievements, and to the future we will keep building together. Happy anniversary, GBS!

U.S. MOTORS® and Embraco, two of our product brands, recently participated together in the 2025 HARDI Conference in Las Vegas. This annual conference is dedicated exclusively to the HVACR distribution, and this year’s “Gold Standard” theme focused on elevating the industry and highlighting the growing importance of the aftermarket in North America. It was a valuable opportunity to join these conversations with two brands known for continuous evolution and innovation, and for their integrated aftermarket sales channels in the U.S.

U.S. MOTORS highlighted its energy-efficient electronically commutated motors (ECM), along with RESCUE® universal ECM replacement motors for furnaces, air handlers, and condensers, including the dependable RESCUE EZ13® and RESCUE EZ16®. These solutions deliver versatility and easy installation, helping contractors reduce service time and streamline inventory.

Embraco featured its newly launched portfolio of scroll compressors, expanding the brand’s capabilities into heating and air conditioning while strengthening its presence in the refrigeration segment.

Temos o orgulho de anunciar a inauguração de uma nova linha de produção que duplica a capacidade de fabricação dos compressores Embraco FMS na nossa planta de Joinville/SC, passando de 2,5 milhões para 5 milhões de unidades por ano. Este é um compressor do tipo inverter (velocidade variável) que democratiza o acesso a essa tecnologia e todas as suas vantagens: economia de energia, menos ruído e melhor preservação dos alimentos.

Com fabricação em uma unidade neutra em carbono e um design mais leve e compacto, que gera menor impacto ambiental em toda sua vida útil, do transporte ao funcionamento, o compressor Embraco FMS é um exemplo de como combinamos eficiência e sustentabilidade.

Essa expansão é um movimento estratégico para apoiar a transição dos nossos clientes para tecnologias mais eficientes, tanto por questões de sustentabilidade e demanda do mercado quanto pelo avanço de regulamentações de consumo de energia cada vez mais rígidas, no mundo e no Brasil.

Para celebrar este momento, realizamos um evento em nossa fábrica de Joinville com a presença do governador do Estado de Santa Catarina, Jorginho Mello, e da Vice-Prefeita de Joinville, Rejane Gambin, que foram recebidos por nosso presidente, Alberto Casnati, e pelos líderes da divisão da qual fazemos parte: Valter Taranzano, CEO da Nidec Automotive Appliance Division (AAD), e Katia Drusian, CEO da unidade de negócios Nidec Appliance, Commercial and Industrial Motors (ACIM).

Participating in COP30, at the invitation of the ABDI (acronym in Portuguese for the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development), was an important recognition of the journey we are building in innovation and sustainability as part of the Nidec ACIM (Appliance, Commercial and Industrial Motors) business unit. Ronaldo Duarte, one of our Research and Development Directors, was a member of the panel "Competitiveness, innovation and technological infrastructure," held on November 15, alongside companies and institutions such as INMETRO, represented by Danielle Assafin, Director of Scientific, Industrial and Technological Metrology.

We had the opportunity to share our vision on the vanguard of refrigeration, highlighting the pioneering of our Embraco brand in using variable speed technology in its products, and the relevance of sustainable production processes, such as the case of our Joinville factory, the first unit in the world to achieve carbon neutrality within Nidec ACIM in 2024, an accomplishment achieved 6 years ahead of the target.

We thank ABDI for the invitation and reinforce our commitment to continue collaborating with brands, governments, and strategic partners to drive solutions that bring efficiency and environmental responsibility to the cold chain.
