We’re proud to share that our Maxion Structural Components business has been recognized with the 2025 Mercedes-Benz Socio-Environmental Responsibility Award. 🏆

The award was for our work to significantly reduce industrial washing process temperatures by up to 30°C, resulting in lower energy consumption and the prevention of more than 300 tons of CO2₂ emissions per year. 🌱

Securing a place on the A List means we’re among the top 4% of companies scored by CDP – the world's only independent system for environmental disclosure. This achievement reflects our strong climate governance, ongoing energy transition, and ambitious emission targets that drive measurable progress toward a low-carbon future.

It also crowns a year of progress: receiving an EcoVadis Silver Medal, Iochpe Maxion’s inclusion in Brazil’s B3’s Corporate Sustainability Index (ISE) and ICO2 B3 Index as well as the validation of our net-zero targets by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

Iochpe-Maxion is excited to announce that its business, Maxion Wheels, is implementing three strategic initiatives to address the increasing demand for light vehicle aluminum wheels in South America. One action was the acquisition of a 50.1% share in Polimetal, a top aluminum wheel manufacturer in Argentina. With this partnership, and the utilization of our global operations and the redeployment of existing assets we’re enhancing our service and high-quality aluminum wheels output for our customers short-and long-term needs.

What does efficiency power by AI look like at Maxion? For our Structural Components team in Contagem, Brazil, it’s fewer line stoppages and increased operating stability.

Improving machine availability and stability on the welding line through AI is one of three award finalists for Maxion in the Association of Manufacturers 2025 Manufacturing Leadership Award program.

The Maxion team implemented an AI-driven vision system to detect the presence and the correct position of pins before the welding process. With this information we eliminated sensor replacements caused by pin damage, reduced line stoppages and increased process stability.

One more example of how Maxion applies advanced technologies to power operational efficiencies and performance in our production processes.
