🎙️ Keynote Speaker Announcement

We are pleased to welcome Prof. Daniel V. Oliveira (University of Minho, Portugal) as a Keynote Speaker at CINPAR 2026.

A leading expert in earthquake engineering, structural assessment, and the conservation of earthen and masonry heritage, Prof. Oliveira conducts pioneering research on the seismic performance of traditional rammed earth constructions and the development of effective strengthening solutions for historic buildings.

His keynote, "Seismic Performance of Traditional Rammed Earth Constructions: From Structural Assessment to Strengthening," will present recent experimental findings on the in-plane and out-of-plane behaviour of rammed earth structures under cyclic loading, highlighting the effectiveness of innovative Textile-Reinforced Mortar (TRM) strengthening systems in enhancing ductility and seismic resistance.

We are delighted to welcome Prof. Rita Bento (Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, Portugal) as a Keynote Speaker at CINPAR 2026.

An internationally recognized expert in the evaluation, rehabilitation, and strengthening of existing and historic structures, Prof. Bento's research combines historical investigation, material characterization, experimental testing, digital surveying, and calibrated numerical modelling to support effective and compatible conservation strategies.

Her keynote, "Safeguarding Heritage: Integrated Evaluation and Rehabilitation Strategies for Existing and Historic Structures," will present integrated methodologies through real-world case studies, demonstrating how scientific advances and engineering practice can be combined to enhance the safety, durability, and cultural significance of both historic buildings and the broader existing building stock.

An expert in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), structural diagnosis, robotics, and cultural heritage conservation, Dr. Ortega develops innovative automated inspection systems that enable large-scale, non-invasive assessment of historic buildings.
