GIVING BACK THROUGH LITERACY
Caribbean Civil Group team member Tanya Chambers-Eldemire joined Read Across Jamaica Day at Hatfield Primary & Junior High School in Manchester, Jamaica, which was celebrated on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, as a part of Education Week under the theme "Literacy Resilience: Foundation of Nation Building".
Armed with storybooks and plenty of enthusiasm, Tanya spent the afternoon reading to grade four students, sharing laughs, and encouraging a love for learning. The session sparked bright smiles as students dove into a variety of stories.
At CCG, we believe community involvement is part of our foundation. Literacy is a cornerstone of opportunity, and we’re honored to invest time in Jamaica’s future leaders.
A huge thank you to Hatfield Primary & Junior High for the invitation.

Paul Olukoye: A Mentorship Success Story

Between August 2020 and January 2021, CCG Principal Ray McKenzie mentored Paul Olukoye, a bright and ambitious engineer from Kenya. That six-month period laid a strong foundation for what has become an impressive professional journey.

Since his mentorship at CCG, Paul was awarded a scholarship to pursue a Master of Science in Transportation at South Carolina State University. After successfully completing his degree, he joined the international firm WSP in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he has been an integral part of the team for the past two years.

In addition to his academic and professional achievements, Paul has successfully passed both his EIT and Professional Engineer (PE) exams. We are incredibly proud of his growth and wish him nothing but continued success and Godspeed as he shapes the future of the engineering profession.

St. Augustine’s College Students’ Exposure To Engineering – 20 March 2026

The Caribbean Civil Group team, in its ongoing initiative to broaden students’ knowledge of the engineering profession, visited St. Augustine’s College ninth-grade students during "Career Exposure Week” on 20 March 2026 to discuss the various disciplines within the field of engineering. The Ice-breaker trivia segment was fun, and the winners were excited to receive prizes.

ANNUAL RETREAT 2025

🌴Sun, sand, and spreadsheets (well... maybe sun, sand, and cocktails 😎)! The Caribbean Civil Group team members traded our hard hats and vests for cocktail🍹 and our guests at our Annual Retreat at the Decameron Cornwall Beach in Montego Bay, Jamaica 🏖️🍹. The weekend was filled with fun activities, the likes Decameron Cornwall Beach has never seen before, and we were all excited to participate—warning: tropical vibes may cause excessive relaxation and spontaneous dance-offs! 💃🏽🕺🏽
Thanks to the planning committee, this was another successful, fun-filled retreat, and now we look forward to our silver jubilee in 2026!!!! Can we top it…I think we can… 2026 look out!!
