Last week, we had the privilege of welcoming top-achieving learners from ๐๐จ๐ค๐จ๐๐๐ง๐ ๐.๐.๐., thanks to the support of De Beers Botswana.
To many, it may have looked like just another school visit. To us, it was a reminder of what Drones For Africa stands for.๐ญ
Drones For Africa was never created simply to fly drones or sell technology.
It was created to show every young Motswana whether from a village, a town, or a city that they, too, have a place in the future of innovation. That they can become engineers, pilots, entrepreneurs, leaders, or whatever they choose to become.
As the learners explored our offices, asked thoughtful questions, and experienced drone technology firsthand, they weren't just discovering drones.
They were discovering possibility.
Because the greatest barrier facing many young people isn't talent.
It's exposure.
You cannot dream about a future you've never seen.
If even one learner left believing, "One day, that could be me," then we accomplished something far greater than a demonstration.
We helped plant a seed.
And because we believe potential should be nurtured, not just discovered, every learner who earns a merit in their exams, they will receive continued drone training, mentorship, and support from Drones For Africa until they complete school. That is our commitment.
To De Beers Botswana, thank you for believing that exposure creates opportunity and for helping us inspire the next generation by investing in Botswana's young people.
At Drones For Africa, we remain committed to using technology not only to solve today's challenges, but also to inspire tomorrow's innovators.
Because the future of Africa will be built by young people who are given the opportunity to see what is possible and the confidence to pursue it. ๐ง๐ผ๐
