Let me explain this

:

What was the thinking behind?

1. First thing that really bothered us was the dull overly rectangular bus/container-like appearance of the structure
2. We knew right away that we had to counter that with as many clean lines as possible (windows inclusive) that should run complete opposite direction. It was a lot of work: lots of craft. Even the builder at some point didn't know what he was doing. They just had to follow the instructions.

So what was the main thinking behind this once again?

3. Don't rebuild - re-skin!
4. Use contrast, texture and black window frames to trick the eye into seeing a "new build" instead of renovation.

When I see things getting to this point - I sure know we've passed the litmus lest. No turning back!

Sir - it's your time to shine😁.
We like it the more when the project is positioned right in heart of the village for a good public spectacle. I can't wait myself. I think tomorrow I'm coming there to facilitate for the completion of the 'shell'.
But why did you pay all the money upfront?

EXTENSION/RENOVATION

BRIEF:

1. Add Master ensuite with a porch
2. Add 1 more bedroom
3. Throw the both of them to the left side of the house.
4. Add double garage with concrete deck top
5. Retain the existing roof to avoid costs
6. Touch up on the facade

What would be the cost turnkey?

Well, question is how much budget can you set aside if you were to build 2 beds master ensuite with double garage that has a concrete deck top. That would be the answer! I Personally fear excessive extensions because you really have to have the bucks.

Question 2:
Can you make it come out exactly like this?

Yes, Why not. If you have the money. Your money will do the job; simple. Talent is what we have in super abundance. But our hands won't just move like that. We need them lubricated with proper financing.

Started as a mere STUDIO PAD...
Got touched up into a HYBRID PAD...
Now slowly developing into a semi commercial (half - home) two storey.

For now we've added entertainment lounge and custom cinema with full acoustics to follow! Next, we likely to do a prime glass themed master suite...all glass and steel on the top storey.

So, today I passed by to experiment a bit with the guys on paint options.😀✍️
