Foundation Trench Specification- Description

Project: Gakuto Project
Contractor: King-Solo Art, Architects & Building Construction Pty Ltd

Trench Works:
- Excavation: Continuous strip foundation trench, 690mm wide x 900mm deep. Sides appear stable with vertical cut.
- Blinding/Concrete Bed: 230mm height of mixed concrete blinding layer placed at trench base to provide level bearing surface and prevent contamination of reinforcement.
- Reinforcement: 10mm diameter weld mesh positioned on spacers within the concrete blinding to control cracking and provide structural continuity. Mesh grid visible prior to main concrete pour.

Status: Trench excavated, blinding concrete cast, reinforcement mesh laid and ready for main foundation concrete placement.
