Spicy Chillibite Chicken Recipe
Ingredients:
1 kg chicken pieces (drumsticks, thighs, or breasts)
3 tablespoons SpaceFoods Chillibite Spice Mix
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 lemon, juiced
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon honey (optional, for a touch of sweetness)
Fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish
Instructions:
1. Marinate the Chicken:
In a large bowl, add the chicken pieces.
Drizzle the olive oil and lemon juice over the chicken.
Sprinkle the SpaceFoods Chillibite Spice Mix, salt, and black pepper over the chicken. Add the minced garlic.
If you like a hint of sweetness to balance the spice, add the honey.
Mix everything well to coat the chicken evenly with the marinade.
Cover the bowl and let the chicken marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for more intense flavor).
2. Cook the Chicken:
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) or preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
Arrange the marinated chicken pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or foil, or directly on the grill.
Bake or grill the chicken for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through cooking. Ensure the chicken is cooked through and has a crispy, golden exterior.
3. Serve:
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven or grill and let it rest for 5 minutes.
Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro or parsley.
Serve with a side of your choice—rice, salad, or roasted vegetables.
