Today, the Business Botswana (Built Environment & Construction Sector) nominated and elected me as their new Chairman (2024-2026). This is a continuation of the role I was held previously. One of my focus areas is to develop a 6 year Strategic Plan (2024 -2030) to transform the Botswana built environment & construction sector, Develop a sustainable Supply Value Chain in the Industry, Promote Circular economy in construction, and reduction of carbon emissions in construction. The mood was that we need to reach out to everyone involved in the construction industry including those in marginalised areas, small contractors, capacity building, graduates & students and manufaturers of construction materials products.
I hope that we will acquaint ourselves with the new trends in the industry being the Developer Model (DM) and the Catalyst Project Team (CPT) and work closely with them for the benefit of the industry at large and not BB members only. The journey begins now...🙏
