Sunlux has officially broken ground for its solar lights manufacturing plant in Tlokweng, marking a bold step toward clean energy, industrial growth, and sustainable development.

The ceremony was officiated by Hon. Tiroeaone Ntsima, Minister of Trade and Entrepreneurship, and graced by Hon. Phenyo Segokgo, Member of Parliament for Tlokweng, alongside Kgosi Puso Gaborone, Paramount Chief of the Batlokwa, Ms Mmantlha Sankoloba CEO of Botswana Exporters and Marketers Association among other dignitaries .

Mrs. Portia Masunda, Director of Sunlux shared the Sunlux journey and stated that the facility is set to create about 160 jobs, with 80% of positions going to women and young people, driving real impact in job creation, empowerment, and skills development.

Tlokweng just got a brighter future.

On Friday, Sunlux proudly hosted an exclusive Factory Tour, facilitated by Ministry of Local Government and Traditional Affairs - Botswana Local Government (Department of Technical Services) , honouring us with their presence.
