High electricity costs now call all of us to be energy efficient, that is try as much as we can to maintain the same level of services at a lower electricity consumption. Many of us only visit the electricity meter when it is recharge time, thereafter no one cares. how much electricity is consumed daily? how is the pattern? is consumption consistent? are there spikes? what consumes electricity and at what time? All the answers can come from Electricity monitoring.

How has the recent increase in electricity tariffs impacted on your finances? what do you do?

ENERGY HILL is here offering an ENERGY AUDIT service.

what are we talking about?

Your house/facility has appliances that are operated with electricity. Each appliance has its own energy requirement which we can use to quantify the total electricity it consumes based on its operating hours. We can therefore quantify daily, weekly, monthly and yearly electricity consumption by each or all the appliances and operational costs.

Example; an outside11W Light operated from 6pm to 5am has a daily has a 11hr daily operating time.

daily usage = 11W x 11 hr = 121Wh (0.121kWh)
30 day month usage= 30 x 0.121 = 3.63 kWh
monthly cost = 3.63 x 0.938 = 3.40
so P3.40 of the monthly electricity bill will go to 1 outside 11W light.

By so doing we have created your facility Energy profile (what requires how much and totally how much is needed). From there we do energy monitoring which gives us the current electricity consumption trends, energy management opportunities and we recommend energy efficiency solutions if need be. The whole process forms an Energy Audit.

Why do an Audit?

# Know how much electricity is needed to run your operations and costs incurred.
# Have an estimation of how electricity to buy in a month. Do you need more than 200kW? How much more than 200kW do you need? Remember it costs 0.938 per kW for up to 200kW and 1.303/kW from 201kW per month. Ones we have done your audit we will always calculate 201+kW needed to complete a month for free.
