Tau Grading and Building Construction (PTY) LTD, in partnership with Lekker Bush Walk, participated in the Macheng Bushfire Festival 2026 held in Hukuntsi.

Now in its fourth edition, the festival attracted visitors from across Botswana and was widely praised for promoting tourism, cultural preservation, and cultural exchange. It continues to highlight the economic value of Botswana’s cultural heritage while fostering community engagement.

The festival was established with the goal of promoting motorbike racing, tourism, and adventure tourism in the region. Over the years, it has grown into an important platform that brings together cultural groups, adventure enthusiasts, and local communities, contributing to both social cohesion and local economic development.

The event was officially opened by former President and Bangwato Paramount Chief, Dr. Seretse Khama Ian Khama. It featured a variety of exhibitors, including the Jwaneng Racing Club and the Kgalagadi North District Council, among others. Activities included 30 km and 15 km bush walks, Born First competitions, and motorbike racing.

The Lekker Bush Walk, proudly powered by Tau Grading and Building Construction (PTY) LTD, was among the key participants, adding to the vibrancy and success of the event.

Big news! The real work has begun. Yesterday, the New Xade Junction to New Xade project carried out trial surfacing using a otta-seal method from 0.200 km to 0.600 km.

That means we’ll be ready to start full surfacing next week.

Big news! The real work has begun. Yesterday, the New Xade Junction to New Xade project carried out trial surfacing using a otta-seal method from 0.200 km to 0.600 km.

That means we’ll be ready to start full surfacing next week.

Tau Grading and Building Construction (PTY) Ltd partnered with the Ghanzi Constituency Office and the Ghanzi Athletics Club over the weekend to host the 2nd Edition Half Marathon in D’kar, an initiative led by Honourable Noah Salakae. The event aims to identify and nurture athletic talent within the Ghanzi Constituency.

Proudly supported by Tau Grading and Building Construction (PTY) Ltd, the event featured a half marathon alongside a series of short sprint races. Proceedings began with a highly anticipated curtain-raiser race involving Honourable Salakae and his councillors, which was won by Honourable Phanchwe.

Young athletes were also given an opportunity to shine, participating in various short sprint races while parents and supporters cheered them on as future stars, inspired by Botswana’s own sprinting excellence.

The event was attended by Tau Grading and Building Construction’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Hugo Lemcke, and General Manager, Mr. John Motsumi, who joined the community in celebrating sport and youth development.

The weekend concluded with a Gala Dinner hosted by Honourable Salakae in recognition of the Ghanzi Athletics Club’s outstanding performance at the recent World Relays held in Gaborone.
