Multimodal hubs are becoming key nodes in global logistics networks. They bring together maritime routes, railways, and highways. The efficiency of a supply chain depends not only on transport speed but also on how quickly cargo moves through transfer points. It is often at these interfaces that queues, bottlenecks, and delays occur.

uST complexes can enhance such systems by shifting part of the transport flow to the second level. Elevated routes do not intersect with conventional transport, are unaffected by congestion, and can connect key locations within a logistics hub.

In conventional vehicles, doors are located on the sides of the body. While this solution is practical, it also creates engineering limitations: openings weaken the structure, generate zones of increased stress, and increase the number of joints.

In a concept developed by UST Inc. engineers, access to the passenger cabin is provided by separating sections of the fuselage. This approach eliminates the need for traditional doors, improves body sealing, and reduces the number of seams to one or two circular joints. The concept includes several design options: extending the chassis together with the body, moving only the fuselage, or using combined configurations.

Such a solution is particularly relevant for transport systems operating in demanding conditions, where structural strength, safety, and manufacturability are essential.

Yantarny is one of the most popular resorts in the Kaliningrad Region. Every summer, the number of visitors increases sharply, roads become congested, parking areas near the beaches quickly reach capacity, and there is no rail connection to the town.
In an article published by Komsomolskaya Pravda, uST transport is considered as one of the potential solutions for territories facing similar challenges. An elevated route could reduce pressure on roads, preserve access to recreational areas, and become an additional attraction for the region. The article also highlights the factors that currently limit implementation. Nevertheless, interest in the technology continues to grow.

At first glance, a steel wheel may seem like a minor engineering detail. In practice, however, it is a factor that affects the energy efficiency, service life, and economics of the entire transport system.

A rubber tyre constantly deforms while moving: part of the energy is lost to heat, friction, and wear. A steel wheel works differently: contact with the rail is minimal, energy losses are lower, and movement remains predictable.

uST complexes use a “cylindrical steel wheel – flat-top steel rail” configuration. This solution reduces rolling resistance, lowers contact stresses, and helps decrease energy consumption. At the same time, a steel wheel cannot suffer a blowout and is designed for high continuous loads.

Nadezhda Kosareva, CEO of UST Inc., visited the construction site of the uST complex at the “Sosny” health resort. Work is actively underway at the site. Specialists are clearing the site and excavating soil from the foundation pit for the stations, and preparations are underway for the construction of the uST complex’s track structure.

The uST complex will connect the sanatorium’s residential building with the new spa center via a single-track line that will run through a pine forest.

The CEO’s visit underscores the great importance of constructing the uST complex in “Sosny.” Its launch will make the resort’s infrastructure more accessible and comfortable for guests. The National Library of Belarus hosted the presentation of the scientific proceedings of the 8th Global Conference on Near Space Industrialization (GCNSI 2026).

The event was attended by General Designer Anatoli Unitsky, as well as engineers and specialists from UST Inc., who contributed a number of scientific papers included in the publication. Among the guests were Igor Belousov, Assistant to the State Secretary of the Union State; Piotr Vityaz, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus; Alexander Shumilin, Academician Secretary of the Department of Physics, Mathematics and Informatics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus; and Olga Mastitskaya, Research Fellow at the Institute of Physical Organic Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The collection includes 44 studies dedicated to transport systems, engineering technologies, energy, and other areas of applied science. All materials are being distributed to scientific libraries and specialised databases in Belarus and other countries.

For UST Inc., participation in such initiatives is part of the company’s scientific and engineering work. The development of transport technologies requires not only design and testing, but also continuous cooperation with the scientific community.

uST technology became one of the notable topics at the 7th National Conference on Transport, Science and Technology (CTST 2026) hosted by Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport in Vietnam.

The forum focused on the development of transport systems in the context of digitalisation and automation. According to the online newspaper Ho Chi Minh City Law, string transport received positive feedback from students and the scientific community.

Professor Le Hung Lan, Vice President of the Vietnam Automation Association, highlighted the potential of string transport for Ho Chi Minh City. A university research group has already studied three possible routes in the city ranging from 9.3 to 25 km in length.

Recently, Oleg Zaretsky, the CEO of uScovery DMCC, had a meeting with the leadership of the Directorate of Railways of the Ministry of Transport of Indonesia (DJKA) and representatives from the PT Jababeka Tbk development company, in the capital city of Indonesia. In particular, the project in the Jababeka area – a rapidly developing industrial and residential suburb of Jakarta – was discussed.

One of the projects under consideration is connected with the Jababeka area – a major industrial and residential suburb of Jakarta. The population there is growing rapidly, while the existing transport infrastructure is already experiencing significant pressure.

The participants also highlighted the importance of launching a pilot string transport route to demonstrate the efficiency and reliability of uST technology.
