If anyone is thinking about getting a Samsung ductless split system, don't do it. They don't back there equipment at all and neither does Matt from the Abbotsford RSL location. If the unit has a small leak that isn't detected for one year, you are basically out of luck. Now you have to pay for that repair. It's crap.

A quick tip for everyone who has central AC. If you're unsure if it's working properly, the first thing to do is check the filter at the furnace. If it's good, turn it on at the thermostat. If it blinks, wait; it has a 5-minute delay before it will start. Once it says 'cool on,' go to the outdoor unit and make sure it's running with the fan spinning. If it is, then take a thermometer, one similar to a meat thermometer you can put in a register. Use Celsius. If it's reading between 10 and 13 degrees, you're good. There should be a 10-degree difference between your house temperature and what is coming out of your registers. If there is, it's working. If there isn't, then there's a problem. This could save you some money.

I want to mention to everyone, that there are multiple companies that are saying that the heat exchangers are bad on there furnaces to get a sale. Don't just say ok. Ask how they diagnosed that or get a second opinion. If they say they are getting high CO numbers, ask to see the reading. Most furnaces now will trip out on a safety if the heat exchanger is bad. If your CO detectors go off, that's a different story. Some companies give motivation to sell, the bonus leads to dirty play and happens often. I would charge minimal to double check for anyone unsure.

As much stuff that goes with my job such as, asbestos, rats, spiders, dirt crawl spaces, hot attics, safety hazards, life endangerment at times, just to mention a few😆 When I see the happiness in someone's face and the relief from the stress they had, it makes it all worthwhile.
