Last week, the PowerWood team traded the yard for the river and headed out with some guests for sturgeon fishing with Fraser River Lodge.

What an amazing day on the water — great company, incredible scenery, and unforgettable moments reeling in these prehistoric giants of the Fraser River.

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to spend time together, build stronger connections, and enjoy everything the Fraser Valley has to offer.

A day well spent in the forest 🌲

The PowerWood team with some special guests had the opportunity to tour the UBC Malcolm Knapp Research Forest—getting an up-close look at their mill, ongoing research projects, and the incredible history held within the forest.

Standing among majestic Western Red Cedar, Hemlock, and Douglas Fir—some nearing 400 years old—was a powerful reminder of where it all begins.

Every tree tells a story.

Our job is to carry that story forward—honouring its strength, character, and life in every product we create and to give the tree a second life.
