In this Apprenticeship role, you will report to the Mechanic Supervisor and play a critical role in maintaining and repairing machinery, equipment and vehicles used in concrete production and distribution. You will ensure the plant operates efficiently by conducting preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical issues, and performing repairs to minimize downtime and ensure safety compliance.
👉 Key Responsibilities
• Perform preventive maintenance and running repairs during the construction season, with more extensive work during the winter months.
• Perform maintenance on batching plants, mixers, pumps, conveyors, and other machinery.
• Inspect, lubricate, and adjust components to ensure proper operation.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Replace or repair defective parts using tools and measuring instruments.
• Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct safety inspections and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and collaborate with operations to resolve issues.
✅ Must Have
• Willingness to be trained as an Apprentice with the goal of obtaining Trade Certification.
• Driver’s license and reasonable driver’s abstract.
• Ability to work independently and be dependable.
• Ability to work with management to schedule service and maintenance.

• Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
