With decades of expertise, we deliver durable, high-performance solutions for scrap, waste, and recycling applications—built on quality, reliability, and innovation. At that time, Bateman manufactured attachments for excavators, loaders, and material handlers for the construction, demolition, and forestry industries. In 2002, Bateman moved to Orillia Ontario and increased production of Orange Peel

Grapples and Demolition Grapples, introducing more products to the Recycling and Demolition industries. In 2011, Bateman moved to a 35,000 sq.ft. facility in Oro-Medonte, Ontario in response to the increased demand for Bateman products. Today, Bateman Manufacturing is proud to supply products both domestically and internationally.

Watch the Bateman Hydraulic Clamshell load sand straight off the barge. Over open water, loose material is easy to lose — and every dribble over the side is sand you dug, paid to move, and never landed in the barge.

This one keeps it in the load. The enclosed shells close around wet, loose material and hold it, fines and all, so what you scoop lands in the barge, not the water. Less waste, a cleaner waterway, and 360° rotation that lets the operator fill evenly without repositioning.

Growing our Northeast sales team.

We're excited to welcome Jason Musselman as Regional Sales Manager for Bateman Manufacturing and Winkle in the Northeast.

Jason brings a strong equipment industry background, with regional sales leadership roles at Yanmar America and Kubota Tractor Corporation, plus parts and service management experience at Doosan Bobcat. He holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Strayer University.

His focus for year one: building relationships across our internal team while earning the trust of material handling dealers and customers throughout the Northeastern U.S.

Outside of work, Jason enjoys traveling with his family, snow skiing, hiking, and kayaking.

📣 Meet Logan Woodrow, Mechanical Designer at Bateman 📣

Logan joined us in 2023, straight out of school, but he didn't arrive empty-handed. Before his first day at Bateman, he had already logged over 15,000 hours in SolidWorks through years of hands-on personal projects: competitive battlebots, 3D printing, and a CNC mill he built and programmed himself. That kind of practical foundation is rare for someone at the start of their career, and it shows up in his work every day.

What he enjoys most is the problem-solving. He's given a lot of freedom in how he approaches his designs, and he likes working through the details to figure out how everything comes together. Every project throws something new at him, and that challenge is exactly what keeps him motivated.

Three years in, the growth has been steady. Logan started as a co-op student and returned full-time, taking on more responsibility as he goes. As his colleagues put it, he's ambitious, quick to learn, and always ready for the next challenge.

Outside the shop, Logan plays hockey, is an avid hiker, still builds competitive battlebots on the side, and has backpacked through 12 countries.

Fewer repairs start with fewer exposed parts.

On most grapples, the cylinders and hoses are the first casualties in a scrap pile, one sharp edge or one tight swing and you're down for a repair.
