Before, during and after for the first project of the 2026 season.
The Rosetta Grand Ledge looks awesome!
Excavated down to solid ground. Created a solid base then built back up with proper drainage. The wall length is 18 feet overall and three tiers for a nice sight line to the rest of the yard. Ready for the next contractor to do the concrete work!

A lot of sweat went into the Quantz Project 💪
This backyard had major drainage issues. With the natural slope and neighbouring homes pushing rainwater the wrong direction, the original concrete pad didn’t survive the washouts.
We rebuilt it the right way.
✔️ Removed and hauled out the failed concrete
✔️ Cut down and removed 15 towering poplars
✔️ Stripped roots and topsoil to reach solid ground
✔️ Installed drain rock and weeping tile to control water properly
✔️ Built the patio on an open-graded base so water won’t get trapped underneath — especially important with Calgary’s freeze–thaw cycles
Access was tight, but the mini skid steer got it done.
Drainage isn’t something you see when it’s done right — but it’s everything when it’s done wrong.
