You never know what you're going to find under old carpet... this time I found some beautiful oak hardwood. Refinished that, got rid of the popcorn ceilings, a barn beam mantle, some fresh paint and it's a whole new space.

The power of water is incredible. Improper drainage and building materials on this cottage was causing some serious rot problems. After adding some new eavestrough to get the water away from the house, I installed waterproof concrete board and parged the whole skirt to keep the animals and the rot away. Resurfaced the deck, built a new staircase and landing.
