May is Building Safety Month in Augusta Township. This is an important reminder to anyone building that safety should always be the top priority on any construction project.

IT'S BUILDING SAFETY MONTH
During the February 27, 2023 Council meeting, Council declared the month of May "Building Safety Month".

Each week this month, we will be sharing posts about the importance of building safely and the role that our Chief Building Official (CBO) plays in that.

The South Grenville Chamber of Commerce held their annual Awards banquet last evening at the Maitland Education Recreation Centre.

Randy Norton - winner of the Rev. Gerry Ring Community Service Award. The award was presented by Bonnie Pidgeon-Gommert.

A groundbreaking ceremony at Xenopus in Morrisburg kicked off the official start to the project. Owner, Joanne Kydd, was happy to take the first swing. The project includes demoing part of the existing building and adding a 2000 sq. ft. addition.
