What started as a thorny, overgrown embankment behind a commercial property on the Fraser River is now a resilient, restored shoreline designed to protect against erosion and support the local ecosystem.
✅ Extended outfalls to ensure long-term city maintenance
✅ Reinforced embankment with gabion baskets, geotextile, and native plantings
✅ Hydroseeding to encourage healthy vegetation
✅ Night work to avoid disrupting fish habitats during low tide
✅ Increased pathway access for the community
✅ Removed old creosote-treated timber and invasive brush
