What makes a good construction worker?

It's not just experience.

It's showing up when you're supposed to.
Working safely.
Listening when someone gives you direction.
Taking care of the work around you.
And being someone the crew can count on.

You don't need to know everything on day one.

But you do need the right attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work as part of a crew.

At JPD Staffing, we're always looking for people who are ready to work and take their job seriously.

Your hard hat can look fine but it might need to be replaced...

Before you head to site, take 30 seconds and check it.

Look for:

• Cracks, dents or deep scratches in the shell
• Damage or wear to the suspension
• Missing or modified parts
• Anything that doesn't fit or function the way it should

Your hard hat has taken a serious impact?

Replace it. Don't wait for visible damage.

Not sure when yours should be replaced? Check the manufacturer's instructions or ask your site supervisor.

A hard hat is there to protect you. Make sure it's actually ready to do the job.

You see the machine. We see what happens behind the scenes.

An operator can run the equipment, but the job doesn't end there.
There is a whole crew making sure everything runs smoothly

Someone needs to keep the work area clear.
Move materials.
Give directions
Watch what's happening around the machine.

That's construction. Everyone has a role.

JPD Staffing connects reliable operators and labourers with construction opportunities across BC.

Happy Thanksgiving!

To everyone who gets up early, puts on their boots, heads out in the rain, and shows up ready to work. Thank you.

To the workers who step in when a crew needs an extra hand, take on the tough jobs, and keep showing up day after day. We appreciate you.

A lot of the work that keeps construction moving doesn't happen without people like you.

We’re grateful for the work you put in and the people you are.

Enjoy the long weekend. Spend it with the people who matter, get some rest, and stay safe.

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at JPD Staffing.
