The environmental services we provide are a component of a clients’ overall program. At Keystone Environmental, we know that our part is to support that overall program. Understanding how our work fits into the overall objective enables Keystone Environmental to drive our work towards fulfillment of the clients’ objective. And understanding the business of our client enables us to tailor each project, small and large, to the specific client requirements. Getting outside, giving back, and making an impact - we accomplished alot in one lunch hour!

Our Keystone Environmental team joined forces for a community clean-up around the office and collected an impressive 117 pounds of garbage. Initiatives like this reflect our commitment to protecting the environment and strengthening the communities where we live and work.

A big thank you to Lili Torres and Nolan Gorseth for leading the effort and making this event a success.

Our Biology team was busy in Ucluelet, BC, completing a fish salvage and isolation program using instream nets, electrofishing, and pole-seining.

Fish salvage involves capturing and relocating fish from isolated work areas to help protect aquatic life during maintenance or construction activities. Using a combination of instream nets, electrofishing, and pole-seining, our team was able to safely isolate work areas, capture fish, and relocate them to suitable habitat within the same watercourse before work began.

Our technical teams are growing!

Cayla, the newest member of our Biological Services Department, is a Registered Professional Biologist (RPBio) with over 8 years of experience in environmental consulting. She currently serves as a Director of the British Columbia Chapter of The Wildlife Society ().

Alexandra and Léo are our newest Contaminated Sites Project Managers. Alexandra is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) and Project Management Professional (PMP) with over 8 years of experience in environmental consulting, international development, and municipal work. Leo brings more than 19 years of experience and is a member of the .institute.of.agrologists.

Nolan, a member of our Engineering group, is our latest co-op student from . Fun fact: Nolan recently earned first place at the Western Engineering Competition!

Rain or shine, our team showed up for ! With 14 riders, including 4 first-time participants, Team Keystone Environmental logged more than 443 km, ranking 5th for number of trips and 10th for kilometers travelled. Even our little Keystone kids joined the fun and helped pedal the team forward! Thanks to everyone who got involved and chose active transportation!
