We’re heading into September strong with two new members joining our Biology Team!

Lindsay is a Biologist in Training with extensive field experience in environmental monitoring, wildlife surveys, water quality sampling, and construction monitoring.

Rebecca is a Registered Professional Biologist (RPBio) with 6+ years of experience in environmental management and project coordination across infrastructure, marine, transportation, and industrial projects throughout British Columbia, the UK, and Ireland.

Their diverse skillsets and experience will be a great addition to our team as we head into the fall. Welcome Lindsay and Rebecca!

For the third consecutive year, the charity supported Music Heals, funding music therapy programs across British Columbia, raising $89,000 this year.

Registration funds went toward supporting the Ilsa Mae Research Fund at Muscular Dystrophy Canada.

Chris achieved his GISP (GIS Professional) certification from the GIS Certification Institute (.gisp), recognizing his commitment to professional ethics, education, and experience in the field of GIS and geospatial technology.

Christina and Holly continue to expand their professional credentials, both earning their P.Eng. (Yukon) designations through , adding to their existing P.Eng. designations across different provinces.

Sabrina earned her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (), demonstrating her expertise in leading people, processes, and business priorities across professional projects.

Some projects start with pen and paper; this biologist’s project started with a Norther Red-legged Frog in hand!

This creature was captured during an amphibian and fish salvage on Burke Mountain, an operation used to safely relocate fish and amphibians from areas that may be impacted, helping protect local wildlife while supporting regulatory compliance.

Fun facts:
• Female Northern Red-legged Frogs grow larger than males at an average body length of 10-13 cm.
• Red-legged Frogs move very quickly through the fallen leaves and branches on the forest floor. They make long, low hops that are faster than most people can follow.
