Project Milestone Achieved: James Walker Trail
September marked a key achievement for the James Walker Trail project with the successful completion of the sanitary force main tie-in.
This important milestone was achieved through close collaboration between Kidco, the Town of Cochrane, and Urban Systems. From planning and coordination to tie-in, testing and commissioning, every phase was carried out safely and successfully.

And that’s a wrap on Safety Week at Kidco! 🥳

We ended the week on such a high note, hitting even more site visits and keeping the focus strong on excavation, fire prevention, and rigging, while bringing the fun to even more of our awesome team!

Over the week, our Trucking crew tackled blind spot awareness and spotter teamwork, while our Maintenance, Parts, Paint & Blast teams ran through interactive "Hands Matter" demos to protect hands and fingers. Our Service and Heavy Haul teams joined in out on the road, and we even ran our Office team through a full-on safety obstacle course! 🚚🛠️🏢

Safety Week at Kidco is officially underway, and Days 1 & 2 were a total blast! Who says safety training can't be fun when you’ve got the best crew in the business?

We spent the last couple of days hopping from site to site for some hands-on action. From our Basement crews practicing real-world excavation scenarios to our Earthworks teams tackling fire prevention and response, everyone brought their A-game. Our Underground crews even got to run through interactive rigging inspections with the team at Hercules!

Kidco was proud to be one of the sponsors of this year's event at Belmont, bringing together companies, trades, and safety professionals who all play an important role in keeping our job sites and communities safe.

At Kidco, safety is part of our DNA. We believe safety is a shared responsibility, rooted in accountability, proactive communication, and looking out for one another. Whether they're hauling materials, moving equipment, or supporting our crews in the field, our trucking team plays an essential role in every job we take on. Their commitment to safety, professionalism, and hard work helps ensure every project stays on track.

Stampede 2026 was one to remember! 🤠
