CHIDLIAK

Chidliak is an advanced diamond exploration project located 120 kilometres northeast of Iqaluit, the capital of Nunavut, on Canada’s Baffin Island. It includes 74 kimberlites in total, eight of which are currently believed to have economic potential. The Chidliak project was discovered by Peregrine Diamonds, which was purcahsed by and became a subsidiary of De Beers Canada in September 2018.

De Beers Canada is 100% owner of the Chidliak project and other exploration projects once owned by Peregrine Diamonds Lt.d. Chidliak’s Phase One Diamond Development program has a total Inferred Mineral Resource in excess of 22 million carats, and the CH-6 deposit appears to be the highest quality with an estimated grade of 2.41 carats per tonne.
