Tourmaline is proud to be named one of the recipients of the Workplace Excellence Award at the 2025 United Way Impact Awards.

This recognition highlights workplace campaigns that demonstrate outstanding commitment, innovation, and community impact. We were specifically recognized for our growth in employee giving and our 16-year history of supporting UW, and annual contributions to Planet Youth.

Thank you to our team for continuing to give back and make a meaningful difference in our communities.

Our thoughts are with the community of Tumbler Ridge during this heartbreaking time.

The Peace Region is deeply interconnected, and events like this are felt far beyond one community. As neighbours, we recognize how closely our communities are woven together and how many are carrying the weight of yesterday's tragedy.

We extend our compassion to all those impacted and encourage everyone to take care of one another — to check in on neighbours, friends, and colleagues, and to lean on community in the days ahead.

We stand together with Tumbler Ridge

This holiday season, we are proud to support organizations that make a meaningful difference in the communities where we live and work.

Thank you to Calgary Food Bank, Closer to Home Community Services, Inn from the Cold, Kids Help Phone, and Friends of the Colonel Belcher Society for the important work you do every day.

From all of us at Tourmaline, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a bright year ahead.

On November 20, Tourmaline joined teams from across Calgary for the annual Hockey Helps the Homeless tournament. Our staff brought outstanding energy on the ice and behind the scenes, volunteering their time and helping raise more than $23,000 in support of the cause.

This year’s tournament generated over $429,800 in total, providing meaningful support to YWCA Calgary Inn from the Cold, Trellis Society, and Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta.

We’re grateful to everyone who played, volunteered, and donated. We look forward to being part of this inspiring event again next year.

Tourmaline is deeply grateful for the opportunity to spend three days and two nights with the Doig River First Nation at Moig Flats Kema Camp in beautiful Treaty 8 Territory.

Our team was honoured to learn about the rich history and vibrant culture of the Dane-Zaa people while being immersed in the land where we live, work, and operate. Through storytelling, guided tours, creative activities, and meaningful knowledge sharing, we gained a deeper understanding of the traditions and values that shape this incredible community.

A heartfelt thank-you to the Doig River First Nation Cultural Team and Elders for welcoming us and generously sharing your time, wisdom, and stories. We are truly appreciative of this unforgettable experience.

Tourmaline’s NEBC Central Production Superintendent, Lee Wizniuk, joined executives from Northern Lights College (NLC) and other post-secondary executives and leaders from across B.C. last week for the panel “Building Productivity from Classrooms to Jobsites” at the Business Council of British Columbia Business Summit 2025: Productivity Awakens.

Lee highlighted Tourmaline’s partnership with Northern Lights College to launch the Field Operations Specialist - Hydrocarbon Resources program. This innovative training initiative combines classroom learning, laboratory instruction, and real-world field experience to prepare students for successful careers in hydrocarbon field operations.

Through this collaboration, Tourmaline and NLC are helping build a stronger, more skilled workforce in Northeast B.C. - supporting local communities and advancing responsible energy development across the industry.

Tourmaline staff wear Orange Shirts to honour the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

These shirts feature the artwork of Indigenous artist, Patrick Hunter, and were designed by Indspire – an Indigenous charity Tourmaline proudly partners with to support First Nations, Inuit, and Métis students pursuing post-secondary education.

We aim to support a brighter future through our reflections today and our sustained commitment and actions in our relationships with Indigenous peoples.
