The Visual Wavefield Project

The Visual Wavefield Project We have developed a Revolutionary new way of looking at seismic. It brings seismic to life, revealing an almost overwhelming amount of detail.

Our most modern way of communicating seismic information is still the variable density display. Developed in 1979 and remaining virtually unaltered, they miss out on 30 years of research into the principles of visual communication and the technological improvements now available to visualize seismic in its natural state: as an analog acoustic wavefield. Our purpose is to take this decades of unimp

lemented science and technology and apply it to the crucial task of visually clarifying the seismic image and the wealth of information it contains. Everything we do is focussed around seismic being an analog wavefield. We develop graphic techniques to visually reconstruct it and we develop theoretical approaches to visualize it.
