On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we honour the memory of the six million Jewish lives lost and millions of others targeted by the N**i regime. This day, chosen to mark the liberation of Auschwitz on January 27, 1945, serves as a solemn reminder of the horrors of the Holocaust, in which one third of the Jewish population, along with countless others from marginalized communities, were systematically murdered.
As we reflect on this tragic history, let us renew our commitment to combat hate, prejudice, and discrimination in all forms. The memories of the victims and survivors must remain with us, reminding us of the ongoing importance of standing against hatred and promoting human dignity for all.
We remember. We reflect. We pledge never to forget.
