Meet Mike McGilvery, Design Manager at Rangeland Engineering.

With more than 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Mike brings extensive knowledge in piping design, design coordination, construction support, materials management, and project leadership. His experience spans a wide range of facilities, including gas processing plants, SAGD facilities, pipelines, pump and compressor stations, LNG facilities, carbon capture, data centers, truck and rail terminals, petrochemical facilities, and refinery upgrades.

Throughout his career, Mike has led multidisciplinary design teams and supported projects from early scoping and FEED through detailed design and construction. His expertise includes planning and scheduling, estimating, constructability reviews, 3D model reviews, cost control, manpower management, and coordinating between engineering, design, operations, and construction teams.

Mike also brings a strong focus on leadership and mentorship, with extensive experience developing design teams, improving processes, and helping ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and with quality at the forefront.

As Rangeland’s Design Manager, Mike’s depth of industry knowledge and hands-on experience are a valuable part of our team and the work we deliver for our clients.

We’re thrilled to share an incredible update from the 12th Annual Cameron Daye Golf Invitational, Together, we raised $100,000 for sarcoma cancer research!

This milestone would not have been possible without the amazing support of everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, sponsored, and helped make this year’s tournament such a success.

Another incredible Cameron Daye Golf Invitational is in the books!

This year marked the 12th annual Cameron Daye Golf Invitational, and we were thrilled to return to the Turner Valley Golf Club for another fantastic day on the course.

All funds raised through the tournament support the Integrated Sarcoma Research Program (iSARP) and the Alberta Cancer Foundation, helping advance important cancer and sarcoma research.

We are incredibly grateful for the continued support that makes this event possible year after year. A heartfelt thank you to all our golfers, supporters, volunteers, and everyone who contributed to making the day such a success. We would also like to extend a special thank you to the team at Turner Valley Golf Club for helping us host another memorable tournament.

After 12 years, it continues to mean so much to see everyone come together in support of such an important cause. Thank you for being part of it, we couldn’t do it without you!

Moving products efficiently starts with smart terminal design.

Rail terminals are a critical link between production, storage, and market access. Rangeland Engineering has decades of experience delivering rail infrastructure that keeps products moving safely and efficiently.

Our rail terminal expertise includes the design and engineering of unit train loading and unloading facilities for propane, butane, condensate, and crude oil. We provide complete solutions covering rail racks, track, piping and utilities, product storage and transfer systems, custody metering and controls integration, as well as FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, and construction support.

From the design of propane rail loading facilities capable of handling 60 railcars per day to large-scale terminal developments incorporating 200-car-per-day unit train operations, Rangeland has successfully delivered projects that enhance storage flexibility, transportation efficiency, and market connectivity.

Rangeland Engineering is proud to share that we were a gold sponsor at the 4th Annual Propane Cup in Prince Rupert, an event dedicated to raising funds for the School District 52 Extracurricular Fund!

Hosted by Pembina Pipelines and AltaGas Ridley Island Terminal (RIPET), this propane-themed charity golf scramble not only brings our community together but also supports our students in meaningful ways.

Traveling from Prince Rupert to other communities can be a significant financial burden for students and their families. The funds raised are essential, as they help cover costs for flights, hotels, entry fees, chaperone travel, and other expenses related to tournaments, field trips, and cultural events.

We are proud to support the Prince Rupert community and ensure that students have the opportunities they deserve! Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to this great cause and great fun! See you all next year!
