Remediclean Environmental Services is looking for an experienced, motivated Abatement Supervisor to join our growing team in Calgary.

We’re not looking for someone who simply shows up and completes a task. We’re looking for a leader who takes ownership of the job site, knows how to run a crew, takes safety seriously, and takes pride in doing the job right.

If you have abatement experience, leadership skills, and the confidence to take charge — we want to hear from you.

🔨 WHAT YOU’LL DO

As an Abatement Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading crews and keeping projects moving safely, efficiently, and professionally.

🛡️ WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Required:

Previous experience in asbestos/hazardous-material abatement
Abatement certification/ticket
Valid Alberta driver's licence
Ability to lead and supervise a crew
Strong communication and organizational skills
Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites
Ability to work in physically demanding environments
Strong commitment to safety and quality

Assets:

First Aid certification
WHMIS
CSTS
Previous supervisory or foreman experience
Experience with mould remediation, demolition, restoration, or environmental services
Additional industry certifications

🔨 Position: Abatement Supervisor

We’re looking for someone who can confidently lead crews, oversee abatement projects, maintain safe work practices, and ensure projects are completed to company and industry standards.

Qualifications:

✅ Asbestos Abatement Certification
✅ Valid First Aid certification
✅ Valid driver’s licence
✅ Previous abatement experience
✅ Strong leadership and communication skills
✅ Ability to supervise crews and coordinate daily site activities
✅ Strong understanding of workplace safety and containment procedures
✅ Reliable transportation and ability to travel between job sites

Responsibilities include:

Supervising abatement crews and daily site operations
Ensuring proper containment and safe work procedures
Coordinating labour, equipment, and materials
Communicating with project managers and clients
Completing site documentation and daily reports
Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements

5 THINGS TO ASK YOUR ABATEMENT CONTRACTOR BEFORE STARTING WORK

Planning an abatement project? We're here for you!

1️⃣ What hazardous materials are present?
Ask what materials have been identified and whether an assessment or testing has been completed.

2️⃣ What is included in the scope of work?
Make sure you understand exactly what will be removed, what areas are affected, and what work is included in the price.

3️⃣ How will the work area be contained?
Ask about worker protection and measures being used to prevent the spread of contaminants.

4️⃣ How will the material be removed and disposed of?
Your contractor should be able to explain the removal process, waste handling, transportation, and disposal requirements applicable to the project.
