We are excited to share that on April 15, our 33C17 crew set a new STEP depth record, reaching 31,023 feet (9,455.8 meters) during a COIL+™ operation in Howard County, Texas, in the Permian Basin. This surpasses our previous milestone of 30,210 feet (9,208 meters) set in 2024.

This job also marked the first field deployment of UDx, our deepest-capacity coiled tubing reel trailer, purpose-built for ultra-deep and extended-reach operations.

This milestone reflects more than just depth. It demonstrates our ability to execute complex programs safely, reliably, and at scale while continuing to push technical limits for our clients.

We are excited to share a significant milestone. In March, the STEP Driving School in Red Deer, AB reached 500 Class 1 drivers licensed, including 432 STEP professionals and 68 third-party drivers. This achievement reflects the strength of our training program and its impact across the oil and gas industry.

March 25, 2026, marks STEP’s 15-year anniversary. To celebrate, we are looking back at the moments that have defined our story. Our first job took place in December 2011 for Sanjel. It was a fluid pumping job completed with our very first piece of equipment, a twin fluid pump.

In this photo, STEP’s founders, Steve Glanville, CEO, Regan Davis, and Bailey Epp, stand with that pump at the start of STEP’s journey. “We had the shiniest piece of equipment in the oilfield that day,” says Steve. “It’s incredible to see how far we have come in 15 years.”

Since then, STEP has grown to 13 locations across North America and expanded its capabilities to four service lines: hydraulic fracturing, coiled tubing, fluid pumping, and nitrogen industrial services. Most recently, we have begun our next chapter, including the integration of Sanjel Energy Services and Wayfinder Corp. Together as one team, we look forward to continuing to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient solutions for every project, and build on the foundation established over the past 15 years.

The transaction includes Sanjel Energy’s subsidiary Corp., adding domestic proppant supply to a vertically integrated offering across cementing, stimulation, completions, and proppant. The combined organization strengthens service delivery across Western Canada while maintaining the STEP, Sanjel Energy, and Wayfinder brands.

With expanded scale, technical capability, and operational flexibility, the company is well positioned to support growth in key plays like the Montney and Duvernay, and continued momentum driven by LNG and production growth.
