Together, STEP Energy Services Ltd. and Pacific Canbriam Energy have set a new Montney coiled tubing depth record, surpassing the previous mark of 8,275 meters. On August 11, 2026, crew C19 reached total depth using STEP's COIL+™ dual-agitator technology, proof of what's possible when operator and service provider push boundaries together.

COIL+™ uses mid-string and bottomhole agitators to reduce friction and extend lateral reach, helping operators reliably reach total depth in wells once considered out of reach.

· Total depth: 8,294.9 meters
· True vertical depth: 2,419 meters
· Lateral length: 5,824 meters
· Coefficient of friction: 0.14

STEP is proud to return to Pull for Wishes on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at McMahon Stadium in Calgary, in support of Make-A-Wish Canada and the Southern Alberta chapter.

This event brings the energy industry together to raise funds to grant life-changing wishes for children facing serious illnesses.

We’re back to compete for another win, both as a team and for the kids who need it most. Our team of 16 professionals will go head-to-head with industry competitors in a race to pull fracturing pumps the fastest.

Last week, as part of our ongoing partnership with KidSport Calgary, STEP and Sanjel professionals and executive team members volunteered at the Calgary Flames Sport Bank for KidSport's Equipment Outfitting Day.

KidSport is a non-for-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children by giving them the opportunity to participate in organized sports. STEP began their partnership with KidSport in 2023 and has since supported equipment outfitting initiatives and volunteer days, while Sanjel has been a long-standing supporter of KidSport's mission through both funding and similar community engagement activities.

During the event, volunteers organized, outfitted, and distributed donated hockey equipment, ensuring children have what they need to participate in organized sports.

Thanks to our volunteers and the team at KidSport, our group was able to help over 15 kids get outfitted with equipment for their upcoming hockey season.

It was great to connect with so many people while supporting such a meaningful initiative.

Yesterday, members of our leadership team visited their job site to serve up a steak BBQ for the crews. A big thank you to Cygnet Energy for their generosity and ongoing support of STARS, and to Enserva for continuing to host this impactful annual event.
