While a common challenge, multipath interference can cause errors of several tens of metres. This interference occurs when GNSS signals are reflected off surfaces like buildings or terrain before reaching the receiver, leading to inaccuracies.

In this article, we delve into the key factors that cause multipath interference, the conditions that influence its severity, and how advanced correlator techniques help minimise its impact to improve positioning accuracy. Read it now >> https://hxgn.biz/3UaKJkJ

When it comes to receiver-based interference protection, we now offer two different solutions. While our GNSS Resilience and Integrity Technology (GRIT) powers digital filtering to address narrowband jamming, our Robust Dual-Antenna Receiver (RoDAR) technology provides spatial suppression and configurable band protection against both narrowband and wideband interference.

When using RoDAR and GRIT together, your positioning system leverages both for the ultimate low-SWaP solution.

Whether moving freight or people, your autonomous system relies on real‑time positioning. Interruptions to GNSS signals or network‑based RTK corrections—when navigating urban canyons, dense foliage, tunnels, or other challenging environments—can have a direct impact on your operations.

Hexagon SmartNet correction services are designed to maintain centimetre‑level positioning through these challenges. SmartNet+ provides up to 20 minutes of outage bridging, helping preserve positioning continuity when RTK corrections are temporarily unavailable.

For higher‑availability requirements, SmartNet PRO extends this capability to support longer correction gaps, helping autonomy stacks remain operational in GNSS‑challenged environments—even when conditions are far from ideal.
