Ever wonder why concrete needs 28 days to cure?

Concrete takes 28 days to cure because it takes time for the chemical reactions between the cement and water to fully occur, resulting in the concrete reaching its maximum strength and durability. During the curing process, the concrete is kept at a consistent temperature and moisture level which allows the concrete to hydrate and set properly. This process can't be rushed and that's why 28 days is the standard time for concrete to fully cure and be ready for use.
