This informal gathering will take place in the Hospitality Centre, allowing time to visit, reflect, and share memories. Hope to see you there, and if not, feel free to share your stories of him so we can all remember some of the good times he helped bring into the lives of those he met!

Hello everyone,
As you may have heard, Rick, the founder of Hall Knife & Forge, who finally got to retire in 2024
passed away this Friday, peacefully in his sleep.

He was proud to have been part of this community and it is always humbling & amazing to see why: his wife and family, as well as us here at the shop, truly appreciate the kind words, condolences and stories that have already been coming through 🩵

His family wanted us to pass along that his obituary is to be posted with the Calgary Herald on Tuesday, March 17th* and that online there will be a link to McInnis and Holloway where you can share some of your own stories about Rick. He collected alot of them over his life.

Got the new stamp finally setup, production is in full swing for the winter months AND we got some darker wood samples to show off. Here's a look at the latest Gougers, and a few other photos of the work day

Summer was pretty busy with some custom Forge work, as well as finishing up product testing on our two types of Gougers (Full Handled and Universal Attachment) & Carbon Steel Hoof Picks. Ready for market 👍 All while making alotta Knives.

I have gotten many requests for an A-2 steel blade version of our knives to be brought back, so I've decided to do a limited run of them in the new year. Will be available for order at the end of January!
