What an incredible week at the Orpyx Analytics and Scientific Insights Summit!

We were honored to bring together healthcare providers, podiatrists, researchers, and innovators who are deeply committed to advancing diabetic foot care and limb preservation. The level of engagement, collaboration, and shared purpose throughout the program was truly inspiring.

From meaningful discussions on prevention and early intervention to emerging evidence in continuous foot monitoring and real-world implementation, this event’s conversations reflected both the urgency of the challenge, and the momentum building toward better outcomes.

Diabetes-related foot disease remains one of the most complex and costly complications in healthcare today. Events like OASIS remind us that progress is possible when we come together with focus, expertise, and a shared commitment to change.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in Calgary and Banff, contributed your insights, and helped move this important work forward. The conversations don’t end here, and neither does the work. Together, we are advancing a future focused on prevention, preservation of mobility, and better patient outcomes.

Exciting progress in DFU prevention research, recently featured in Vascular News. The NIH-funded WIREDUP trial will evaluate a patient-facing app paired with continuous foot monitoring through the Orpyx Sensory Insole program.

Orpyx’s technology powers the data ecosystem in this study led by Caitlin Hicks at Johns Hopkins University, helping detect high plantar pressure and temperature changes before serious complications occur.

We’re proud to announce that Orpyx’s digital health platform has been selected for use in the NIH-funded WIREDUP trial on diabetic foot ulcer prevention, led by Caitlin Hicks at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, with collaborators David Armstrong at the University of Southern California, and University of Utah School of Medicine.

This $5M R01-funded randomized controlled trial will enroll 400 participants to evaluate whether integrating continuous digital foot monitoring into routine care can help prevent diabetic foot ulcers, one of the most serious and costly complications of diabetes.
