Every successful project is the result of a team working toward a common goal.
From planning and estimating to engineering, construction, and project ex*****on, success happens when people bring their expertise together and trust one another to deliver.
At Pipestone Projects, collaboration isn't just part of the process. It's what helps build confidence to proceed.

Supporting critical infrastructure development at Farrell Creek.
Pipestone Projects was proud to assist with construction management and initial project estimation for the Legacy Pipeline at Farrell Creek. From early planning stages through field ex*****on, our team helped support the coordination, excavation, and pipeline installation activities required to keep the project moving forward safely and efficiently.
This project highlights the importance of strong planning, experienced crews, and collaboration in delivering large-scale energy infrastructure in challenging field conditions.

WORD OF THE WEEK/BEDDING
In pipeline construction, “bedding” refers to the material placed beneath and around the pipe to provide support and protection once installed in the trench. Proper bedding helps prevent damage, distributes loads evenly, and protects the integrity of the pipeline over time.
It’s one of those critical steps most people never see — but it plays a major role in long-term reliability.

Boring beneath the surface. Building confidence above it.
Pipeline construction is more than what you see on the right-of-way. Specialized trenching and boring operations play a critical role in safely navigating terrain, protecting infrastructure, and maintaining the integrity of the line during installation.

At Pipestone Projects, successful ex*****on comes from experienced crews, detailed planning, and coordination between multiple contractors working together in the field. From excavation and lowering-in to support equipment, fluid management, and final tie-ins, every stage requires precision and teamwork to keep a project moving safely and efficiently.

You know we love estimating, so the Pipestone Projects team enjoyed attending CWiE' s technical session on understanding project estimates and the important role they play across the project lifecycle with Jeff Young.
Great conversations and valuable insight into the complexity behind project planning and decision-making.

Building a pipeline is far more than placing steel in the ground. It takes years of planning, engineering, environmental studies, permitting, procurement, logistics, safety coordination, and thousands of skilled people working together toward one common goal.

From right-of-way clearing and surveying, to stringing pipe, welding, bending, coating, lowering-in, tie-ins, testing, reclamation, and final commissioning — every stage requires precision, communication, and coordination across multiple disciplines and contractors.

At Pipestone Projects, we understand the magnitude behind pipeline construction because successful projects are built long before the first piece of equipment arrives on site. Behind every kilometre of pipe is a team solving challenges in real time, adapting to terrain, weather, regulations, and complex ex*****on demands.

Thank you to all the crews, contractors, operators, engineers, inspectors, environmental teams, Indigenous partners, logistics providers, and field personnel who make these projects possible every day.

Snow conditions don’t stop pipeline construction — they demand more planning, more coordination, and experienced crews who know how to execute safely in some of the toughest environments.

This photo captures the incredible scale behind pipeline construction. Multiple sidebooms working in sequence, crews coordinating every movement, and hundreds of pieces coming together with precision to safely position and install pipe in extreme winter conditions.

People often only see the finished pipeline. What they don’t always see is the expertise, heavy equipment, planning, and skilled trades behind every mile built.
Even in winter, the work moves forward.

It can be hard to get motivated after a long weekend. The routine resets, the inbox is full, and the momentum can feel a little slower getting started again.
Here’s a little inspirational quote heading into the week ahead: every project, career, and goal is built one day at a time. Show up, take the next step, and keep moving forward.

Throwback Thursday//
Some of the best parts of working in the pipeline industry are the people you meet along the way and the experience they bring to the field. Working alongside our friend Al Stewart on river crossing pipeline work was a reminder that projects like these depend on crews who understand the terrain, conditions, planning, and ex*****on required to safely move work forward.

River crossings are never simple. From changing water conditions and environmental considerations to winter access and equipment coordination, every stage requires experienced people making the right decisions in the field.

It’s always an honour working alongside industry experts who have spent years building knowledge that cannot be learned overnight. That experience matters, especially on projects where safety, precision, and teamwork are critical every step of the way.
