Job description
General Laborer
Trim and Door Department
Gillies Lumber is a company with roots dating back to the early 1900’s and is part of the Alpa Lumber Group. We provide high-quality products to homeowners, contractors, and builders while our affiliate companies manufacture windows. In addition, we manufacture roof trusses and custom stairs and railings on site. Gillies Lumber is committed to providing prompt service and excellent quality products at competitive and affordable prices.
Job Description
Under the supervision of the Trim and Door Warehouse Manager and Trim and Door Department Manager you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support Trim and Door customer fulfillment, shipping and receiving customer and contractor orders and other general duties as may be assigned.
Job Responsibilities:
• Measure, cut, and bundle wire shelving as directed on customer
orders
• Package interior door hardware (deadbolts, door handles, etc)
• Assist with department inventory maintenance
• Complete and hand in daily delivery paperwork
• Always maintain and clean and safe work environment
• Communicate effectively with co-workers
• Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
• Willing and eager to learn
• Experience and desire to do physical work
• Understanding and experience using hand and power tools
• Read a tape measure
• Ability to read and understand numbers on customer orders
• Strong people, teamwork, and communication skills
• Attention to detail, ability to follow directions
• Able to maintain and clean and safe work area
• Work safely and in accordance with all Health and Safety
regulations
Qualifications considered to be an asset:
• Previous warehouse experience

Schedule:
• Monday to Friday 7am – 5pm
Personal Protective Equipment:

Granton Construction is a locally owned business that has operated in the Kitchener-Waterloo area for over 20 years. We provide trim installation for new residential and commercial buildings. We seek a full-time warehouse attendant to manage our shop and regularly deliver materials to sites.

Duties Include:
• Loading, transporting, and delivering materials to site
• Regular heavy lifting (Up to 40lbs)
• Quality control of packed orders
• Basic housekeeping and organization of the shop
• Inventory management
• General clean up and floor covering of multiple renovation sites

Requirements:
• G driver’s license with a good driving record
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic knowledge of the material used in trim carpentry
• Ability to work independently and self regulate
