We are proud to announce the release of OmniWin 2026, a significant step forward for cutting professionals who demand precision, efficiency, and reliability at every stage of their workflow.

Projection-Based 3D Import: For parts with curved surfaces or complex bevel transitions, OmniWin 2026 can now calculate contours by projecting the model geometry onto the cutting plane, delivering more accurate, complete results where standard edge-detection falls short.

· Thread Forming: OmniWin 2026 adds support for thread forming alongside classic thread cutting. Both processes can be active on the same machine simultaneously, and OmniWin automatically selects the correct pre-drill diameter, tool, and NC code.

REA 32 Inkjet Marker: OmniWin 2026 supports the REA 32 marking head with 32 nozzles, up to 140 mm print height, and 2D code output (QR and Datamatrix) for machine-readable part identification applied directly during the cutting process.

Order Status Progress: A new color-coded status column in the Orders tab shows each order's nesting progress at a glance: green for on track, yellow for due date approaching, red for overdue. The warning threshold is configurable.

Multitorch Full Plate Width: A new torch positioning option anchors the outermost torches at the plate edges and distributes the remaining torches evenly between them, putting the full plate width to use.

Bevel Information Report: A new standard report template combines a nesting plan overview with a structured bevel table, one entry per contour, cross-referenced to the drawing.

Drill Hole Visualization: Drill holes in nesting plans and part drawings are now rendered according to ISO 6410, giving operators and planners a clear, unambiguous view of every hole type.

SQLite Database Migration: All process databases have been migrated from Microsoft Access to SQLite automatically during upgrade, with no manual steps required.

NASCC 2026 wrapped last week. Four themes came up in almost every conversation we had with structural steel and plate fabricators between the Messer Cutting Systems booth and the Akyapak USA booth.

1. Scale without headcount. Bigger tables, heavier plate, tighter cut quality, no new bodies on the floor. Automation, tool changers, and self-cleaning tables drove the question.

2. Multi-process on one table. Plasma, oxyfuel, and drilling/tapping on a single machine is getting real attention now. Three years ago almost nobody asked. This week, a lot of shops did. Messer pioneered this type of machine and has been building it for years.

3. Structural and plate as one purchase. CNC drilling, beveling, and plate processing are being treated as one integrated investment, not two separate buys. Cross-shop workflows are driving it.

4. Large format laser. The ability to bring laser quality and speed to structural cutting kept coming up. ACM carries multiple options on the laser side for shops looking at this seriously.
